If you are trying to come up with a landscape for your backyard/garden, it is very likely that you might feel that your design is improper. Being an amateur in this arena, you might feel that you require a landscape architect to make your job easier.
Often, this might not be true. Usually, when it comes to designing and installing scenery around your house, the installation is what determines the scenic beauty of your landscape. The design is just the beginning that needs efforts, time and patience. But incomplete installations often lead to ugly landscapes. Installing a square deck can prove to be economical if only you are going to waste space and money if you get one installed.
A landscape architect usually tells you the best and the most effective design that can fit into the space which you have. His consultation charges can go up to a few hundred dollars. They offer suggestions on the different plant variety that you can use. They might not have any idea of which would do well to the soil in your area. The workers at your local nursery can give you a wealth of information on such topics.
If the landscape architect is just going to opt for the choice of plants that would better suit the climate in your area, it is not worth going in for an architect’s help.
